Inspect walkways & driveway for cracks, heaves, settling, broken pavers
Inspect mailbox and post
Check retaining walls for cracks, leaning
Inspect fence for rot/rust, repairs, fading, animals tunneling under
Adjust fence gates for proper latching
Sweep common areas, sidewalk, along curb
Inspect deck/porch railings and stairs for loose rail, cracks, splits, rot/rust
Check deck/porch floor for cracks, rot, popped nails/screws, loose boards
Power wash and stain/seal deck surfaces
Check patio slab for cracks, heaves
Clean cobwebs from porch and entry light fixtures
Close pool (cover/drain/take down)
Pick up branches, rake leaves
Aerate and fertilize lawn
Remove dead plants from plant beds
Mulch plant beds to protect perennials
Prune trees and bushes, especially against house, ones that could be weighted down with snow/ice
Inspect gazebo, arbor, trellis for rot, cracks, leveling, fading
Inspect shed structure interior, exterior, roof for damage
Clean out storm drains, catch basins of debris and vegetation
Check for proper drainage and water flow away from house or garage
Turn over and compost garden
Plant bulbs, divide perennials

Clean gutters & downspouts, check seams & connections for leaks
Examine roof, soffits, eaves for damage
Examine siding/trim for damage, peeling paint
Wash siding, remove mildew
Examine brick/stucco exterior for cracks, loose mortar
Examine chimney for cracks, loose mortar, white powder
Have chimney professionally cleaned
Spray perimeter for pest control
Inspect garage door operation, including safety reverse
Sweep out the garage
Clean car inside & out and get out ice scrapers and other winter supplies for car
